About Me

I have always been surrounded by creativity. My parents painted and sketched, built furniture, crafted with wool and wood—there was always something being made. I always had a sketchpad and paints, copying Garfield cartoons and drawing characters from The Magic Roundabout, scaling night club flyers into large posters, and reading every “how to draw” book I could find. Art was never just a subject at school; it was my language.

I knew I wanted a creative career, but practicality led me to interior design rather than fine art. Life carried on, I still pursued creative hobbies, but it wasn’t until I moved to Cornwall, with two young children in tow, that I found my true calling. An acrylic painting class reignited something in me. In my first lesson we painted pebbles—it felt like coming home.

Not everyone believed in me, but I decided to believe in myself. My first show, my first sale, my first commissions—each step reinforced what I already knew: this is what I was meant to do. Winning my category in an international art competition was the final confirmation. I was all in.

When you become a mum, it's easy to lose your sense of self. When I paint, I feel the most like me, I recognise myself in the play, the letting go. I paint because it brings me joy. Boats, harbours, classic cars, bikes—objects with stories and character. I layer colours and textures, capturing the buzz of a place, and then bring the subject into the foreground.

My paintings spark nostalgia, conversations, memories. My mission? To create art that makes people feel something, to share the joy I find in the process, and to show my children—and anyone watching—that it’s always worth pursuing what lights you up inside!
